PRP or Platelet-Rich Plasma is an important treatment modality for Anti-Aging Medicine, Orthopedic, Dentistry, Hair Restoration, and many other medical specialties. The initial process is the same, regardless of the procedure being performed.
A sample of blood is drawn from a patient’s vein, just as in a normal lab test blood draw. The blood is processed using sterile filters and a high-speed centrifuges to obtain only the platelet-rich serum, which is a gold color.
